He will be a calming influence on an insane committee, Kingston has always been more dis-functional than any committee in UC, excdept maybe Saugerties, it has more cliques & secrets that work against unity, it has repubs that vote dem, & repubs that have no idea there is life outside of Wiltwyck.
They need an intelligent, savvy & connected leader with fire in his/her belly

As a committeeman, I can tell you that Mike Bruhn will take over as Chair in October.
The GOP knows that Jean Jacobs will whine and cry and scream bloody murder. Rather than subject Mike Bruhn to this, they are electing Tony now and turning it over to Mike later. A smart move I think.
mike bruhn was my pick too. It would seem that the City has decided to go back to an old war horse.
With the arrogance that Sinagra possesses, I'm sure he will anoint himself king and ruin any good that a person like Bruyn could do.
I like Mike. But, Cahill Jr and Sr needs to go.

Tony (the OTB one for sure) was a committeeman and was removed. WHY? Tell the truth Mr. Secretary. Tony did not carry out his committeeman duties. He was a previous Chair of the Committee and did not do anything great for the party then and was thrown out on his ear. Another has-been. He should have been put out to pasture a long time ago, but see that the good ole' boys made sure he got the title. And speaking of titles, why is it that you settled for such a lowly one? Secretary? Oh, yeah..Cahill gets to look important as press secretary? Wow!!
Oh, happy day!!..The City Republican Committee once again under the leadership of Anthony Sinagra who was a candidate for alderman seat in 2005 and tried to sneak Conservative petitions through with the help of Richard T. Cahill, Jr who actually did not personally witness signatures. Not to mention Bruce McLean who in 2003criticizes a local non-profit of not paying their taxes, when what do you know? Mr. McLean doesn’t pay his taxes on time either. Talk about calling the kettle black. Oh, his excuse was he forgot. Whoops!! All big NO-NOS. These are the very people who think they are leaders who will take credit for moving the City forward? Respectable, dignified and ingenuous? You must be kidding. We are doomed.
Left on Cahill on Kingston in case he won't post it--Rich..You are so full of yourself, it is not funny. To restore the City Committee to its glory days is laughable. Look at what you have running the good ole’ boys club? And practice what your preach attacking fellow Republicans. You can’t help yourself. You know all full well that Jean is still the Chair in spite of your attempt to unseat her. And Mr. Secretary, do you have the minutes yet to indicate precisely who the ENTIRE committee is for the record? You have not had the ENTIRE committee involved in this charade nor did you have the ENTIRE committee at your last meeting, so get over it. In case you choose not to post this, be assured it will be elsewhere.
..It is all starting to make sense now. If Sinagra (dinosnore) hands the Chair crown over to “Mikey Bruhn” on a silver platter without much dissertation, it's like handing over the jewels from one royal family to the other. But isn’t "Mikey" related to Parete, Parete, Parete (two brothers currently on board for the ride as legislators and father who just got off the chow train)? That’s a lot of baggage for a young man with fire in his belly to be carrying around. So, it looks like it is a one party town after all and the good ole’ boys are at it again. Is there no end to the madness?
Where's the "Mikey" post, "Robbie"? Cat got your tongue? Citizens should know what an intertwined, twisted community this really is.
