We know the fishbowl has not been updated in a few weeks and we apologize and hope to have regular updates in the future.

With that being said we are ready to make our first endorsement for the 2009 election season and we endorse Terry Bernardo for UC County legislature.

More so we feel Terry should probably be cross endorsed for her legislative seat. It's really a win win situation for democrats, with Mary Shealy and jumping Joe S calling it quits there are going to be openings and Mrs.Bernardo came within a few dozen votes of being elected in 07.

Terry who is clearly qualified for the office, is a local business owner in the community and active among many not for profit organizations from the Chamber of Commerce to the Friends of Historic Rochester. Also a cross puts Democrats in a great spot with her husband, new Independence boss Len Bernardo.

In short we think a cross endorsement of Terry Bernardo is a good thing but cross support or not we need Mrs.Bernardo in the UC Legislature!

What a joke! Yeah, we need a loser in the legislature like a hole in the head!

If you like "buisness" types who can't spell or speak for shit, then by all means! Retardo for Legislature!

Jeremy, you may as well admit this is you.

Jeremy is back? Great! It's about time he got back to work. This Bernardo joke is hilarious.

This blog works Jeremy. Although I actually thought this stupid endorsement was for real! You might want to tip people off that it's just a parody. Welcome back.

Blaber showed no respect for the Bernardo's on his old blog, why would he change now?. He mocked Mrs. Bernardo when she was mailed the ants from DSS. There is no way that this is Blaber. I could see Blaber being the one making the derogotory comments on the blog, but not the blogmaster

...and the slander begins again. Not one ounce of intelligent debate, just more ignorance. This is going to be an interesting year...

This is Jeremy's blog and Bernardo for Legislator is no joke. Wait and see, both of these thing will come to light. I think there is some sense in it too. How bad of a Legislator can she be? There are some pretty bad ones there now. If Len Bernardo backs some Democrats on the Independence line and Terry Bernardo caucuses with the Democrats, why not? Blaber is right. Besides, who else is going to run?

This endorsement is so obviously phony. Even Jeremy had better English skills than this. The bad spelling is a mockery of Mrs. Bernardo. Unless of course, the blog was written by a Bernardo. Then it's a perfect example of why they aren't to be taken seriously anyway.

I see the name-calling by the third party pugs has already begun.

This is not Blaber. He knows the golden Facebook rule (source of the picture and profile), and would not break that rule for laughs or any other reason.

Terry Bernardo, showed good political sense during Len's campaign, ONCE HER NINA BLUNDER was atoned for.

That blunder almost sunk the entire campaign, but they righted the ship & carried on, against all odds.

Terry's computer acumen was a huge help & she was everywhere on the campaign trail & showed amazing energy, intelligence & savvy, once her mistake was taken care of,, kinda,,

Wish her well in this race,, Ulster County could use her good common sense & energy.

I don't think Mrs. Bernardo can cut her ties to her old Republican roots enough to get elected. The die is cast on this couple and flipping sides now will be hard. Too few years. Let's see if Jindal can cast off the yoke of the Palin crew's secessionist talibanism and bring some legitimacy to that party first.

Terry is a perfect candidate for this office and we support her 100%, this posting is not in any way a goof or joke.

So the Fishbowl supports using tax money to promote radical christian events? That's not smart. If you intend to demean the current legislature by asserting that this woman is perfect for a place there, you've succeeded. The majority of voters disagree with you and will vote accordingly. Her positions are unteneble and her delivery is fraught with educational deficiencies. She needs a lot of work and the finished product will no doubt infuriate the base she has now. Good luck with that one, the odds are pretty stacked against you.

7:38 - Could you please describe what a "radical christian event" would look like and give an example of one that has been paid for with tax money? Perhaps it's my educational deficiencies, but I cannot seem to make any sense of your statements...

You need to win a seat not be appointed. In order to work for the people who elect you. Good luck Terri but run and win

Hey 6:50, why don't you tell that to Nina Postupack

I think 1:50 is right. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when candidates get elected by default. The appearance of malfeasance is tough to rinse out.

Why is it a win-win for Democrats to cross-endorse Terry? She's an enrolled Republican! The Dems can get their own candidate.
